I tryed the manual fokusing method on firework with the Oly 12mm F2, and i really liked the almost tiltshift miniature look it gave.

Good try Grid. I would try it with the aperture closed down a little. I would try f/16 or f/22 and of course leave the shutter open for a few seconds.

But i wanted the shallow Depth of field, so i could manual fokus during the exposure to get that effect with DOF in the image :)

I don't understand why you would want shallow DoF, but that's certainly a good reason. Was there something in the background you were trying to avoid? Obviously, the advantage of the small aperture is a greater depth of field and more forgiving focus, but you know that.

I just noticed your smiley, were you being sarcastic? (Sorry for my ignorance.)

I wanted part of the firework to be out of focus, that´s why i had the lens on manual and moved the fokus during the exposure, so i used polariser filter to get a longer exposure without having to use higher F-value, since it wasnt that dark when they started the firework.

with the 12mm lens, i don't know if you could get shallow DOF from that distance

I like the results. Definitely something a bit different, and firework shots tend to get a bit same same

How exactly did you do this? Correct focus then shift manually during the exposure?

Cool experiment and worked to great effect in 3 and 5 in particular.
