Does any of you know if the Olympus M43 cameras can fire a radio transmitter via the USB port? And if so, where to get a USB-Jack (or PC or whatever the solution) cable?

Asking because the EVF takes up the hotshoe, and I'd like to sync without having to resort to the built in flash.

    Thanks in advance.

I don't think that this would work. Maybe it is possible to hack the hotshoe. As far as i know the evf has no contacts there and uses the hotshoe just to keep it in place (?). So maybe you would "just" need some sort of flat cable between hotshoe and evf. Just an idea....

    Thank you Leif.
I'm not up to the task of hacking the hotshoe, and since the EVF has a height fixed to this particular type of shoe it's not possible to put a simple acc. shoe with a PC-out in between either.

Flat cable though, I can see that (good idea!), but I've never seen such a product. Perhaps get in touch with the manufacturers : )
