Waiting to get my OLy 9-18 and need advise on what filter to get. I know that b+w is the favorite but does anyone have any experienc with Promaster Digital HGX? UV filter? Its is their top of the line filter and the store owner highly recommends it
    Thank you

Both are good enough for this lens. Promaster might be a rebranded Hoya HD, although it's just a guess. In any case the difference between top filters is rarely significant, I'd personally stick with B+W if they're cheaper. They might sell a slim version as well, and you'd better get a slim filter for the uwa lens: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/132972-REG/B_W_66_026923_52mm_UV_Haze_Slim.html

The right place for this topic is probably in Accessories and not in Native Lenses or Olympus cameras.

I've tested high-end, middle, low end UV filter against each other and against no filter and found no significant difference in the IQ between any of the test shots.

I did find the higher the filter quality the less lens flare.
