Hi everyone,

For 2 weeks I have some member of my family who are visiting me from France In Montreal (Canada).

I will share here the pictures I took from our 6 first days trip.

By the way, please don't be upset by my english, It's not my native language, and the french are world famous for being bad in English.

For the first day we visited Montreal, then the next day Quebec city, the third Tadoussac, and to end the 6 days we visited New York city for 3 days.
I always loved New York City and I enjoy visiting this wonderful city every time, so I will start with the end, and I will start with part one:

New York:

These Picture are from Newport in Jersey City and I am always suprised that there is almost nobody around the river because I think it is one of the best spot to see New York city at night, you just have to take the path train.

Jonathan,

Let me be the first to congratulate you on a great set of photos. I will definitely visit Newport to take photos of the City next time I visit later this month. The last time I went in July I visited the High Line elevated park based on another Mu-43 user post related to NYC.

Some of the best photos I've seen around here.
I hope you get these printed into a book or something to share with your family and friends. Really really great stuff. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Thank you for your comments! I never printed my pictures, nor into a book or framed, but it could be indeed a start....

these are amazing. just curious, i saw the lenses you have in your bio, but is there one you turn to most? like for the street photography in NYC, is there a lens that you found yourself using most often?

Thanks for sharing these!! and i agree that these needed to be printed!!

For "street portrait" or pictures of people in the streets, I am using the olympus 75mm most of the time, this long range allows me to be at a good distance to capture the people's expression. I think they are more feeling in theses pictures when people are not aware when someone is taking a picture of them.

For other regular street picture (like cab etc..) I mostly use the pana leica 25mm f1.4. Thanks to the fabulous IBIS you can take really cool picutre without tripod, like the pictures of taxi, one of them is 0,3s!

For landscape and wider need: Oly 17 mm f1.8 and panasonic 14mm f2.5

This is an awesome set. Each photograph has so much character. I really enjoyed it. Thank you very much for sharing.
And as someone suggested, do get them printed. I can easily see a few of these as wall hangings in NY style eateries :)
