Hi,

I married last year and our honeymoon trip was to India, Sri Lanka at the last week relaxing in the Maldives, in this post are some of my favourite shots from India.

I used an E-PL5, a 17/1.8 and a 45/1.8, my wife had a Panasonic LX7, very light and capable kit.

Any comments and critique are welcome.

Hope you enjoy.

Excellent photographs. Hard to pick a favourite, but if pressed I'd say the 4th in the Taj Mahal shots sequence.

Very nice work! Also very good processing. Reminds me the way Ming Thein renders his photos. What colour profile did you use? Was it all "natural"?

Hi, camera colour profile is set to "Natural" but I shoot only raw so I guess the setting doesn't has influence on the final image, I process in Adobe Camera Raw then to some light retouching, curves, some dodging/burning and sharpening when needed in Photoshop.

I follow Ming regularly, I even bought one of his workshop videos on processing images that's why you might see some resemblance to his work, although I think I'm light years away from him :)

Cheers

Probably in the next few weeks I'll create a new thread with the Sri Lanka photos.

Truly beautiful images befitting of a honeymoon fantasy! Very impressed you accomplished what you did with just two lenses. Less is definitely more here!

Thank you for sharing. Best to you and your wife!

Love the clarity and the colours you are creating in your work. Also enjoy the composition and storytelling that these series bring to the forum- nice work

Beautiful set, I enjoyed them all! I will be traveling to India from the US in July visiting Mumbai and Bangalore for business. We have factored in lots of time for sight seeing. I am bringing my E-PL5, Panasonic 20mm, Olympus 45mm and a Panasonic 14-140. Want to have the primes for opportunities in low light or more specialized portrait type street photography. Figure the all-purpose zoom as my take everywhere.

Thanks so much for sharing.

Fantastic set! I hope you have more to come. To echo what another poster said earlier, you could put Ming Thein in your border frame and the post processing and style are not dissimilar at all (said and hopefully to be taken as a compliment in the best possible sense).
I like the chair in the doorway and the old man walking the street best if I absolutely had to pick a favourite.
Have you made any prints from this set yet?

Hi,

thank you for your kind comments.

I already printed this two from the photos I took in India, have them on my hallway, they look very nice:
