My photos a little redundant since I've posted them in other threads throughout the year.

1) This was probably my favorite photo from this past year. I had limited space in my apartment and it took a lot of planning to get the shot with the motion trail in it all in camera. EM1+O12-40P

2) This shot recently made it into the Feb 2015 issue of the automotive magazine DSPORT (you can find it on magazine stands now!). First time I've ever had a photo of mine published in a national magazine publication, which is still a little surreal to me. It along with a few other shots were used to highlight an car event I shot this past November. This shot in particular though opens up the article and actually takes up two pages. :smile: EM1+O40-150P

5) While this shot isn't anything fancy, it did take a lot of effort to get this corner shot of the Game of Thrones cast at San Diego Comic-con. There were a lot of people to to fight through w/ security pushing people to keep the flow of traffic moving in the aisle. Plus it's one of my favorite shots b/c I love the show. :tongue: EM1+O12-40P

In no particular order:

1 - On my way to the subway there was a cyclist and cabbie going at it. The cyclist was trying to diffuse the situation and the cabbie was trying to go ballistic on him. Since I always have a camera on hand, instead of helping I decided to shoot the scene instead.

2 - About a minute after my daughter was born. It's not the sharpest photo, or even the one I wish I took, but the bee that stung my eyeball was blurring my vision.

3 - I was on a self portrait kick at the start of the year. This was the second entry. I camped out on the subway platform for a good thirty minutes. Just taking photo after photo of each passing train trying to get my reflection to line up perfectly.

4 - My favourite style of street. Just camping out in front of people until they notice the camera and take their photo. I understand this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's what floats my boat.

5 - Another self portrait. I was trying to mimic the cover of Miles Davis' Tutu album. (Shot with my D700, but I still like it.)

Almost impossible for me to pick. My favorite pictures are almost never my "best" pictures that I think you guys would appreciate. My favorites are generally of my family or people special to me or places and times special to me. Being an amateur, that's the reason I take photos after all. But I will share these.

#3 The very last event of our football (soccer) season: penalty shootout and the last kick --> our goalie saves it and we get promoted to a higher division. I was behind the camera because I was ill at the moment and couldn't play.

Rather than thanking individuals for their contributions, I really want to thank everyone who has (and will) post here. The imagination, vision & technical skills shown are really inspiring. And it's a great opportunity for me to look beyond my comfort zone at images I wouldn't have imagined. For me, the discussion of gear and techniques can be interesting and helpful, but it's the photos that keep me coming back.

Probably my favourite shot of the year taken in Belfast, really pleased with how it turned out in B&W event though I was sure it was a colour shot at first (the steps are lit with cool blue lights).
