I hit up the Japanese Nisei Week Parade in Little Tokyo here in Los Angeles. Shot most of everything with the E-M10, E-PM2, Nikon 100mm 2.8 Series E + Lens Turbo Adapter, Olympus 12-50mm EZ and Olympus 17mm 1.8 M.Zuiko lens.

Check it out!

Nice set. I really like the colors.
Thanks! It was a colorful event. I was also shooting with a FF Nikon DSLR, but I really should of left it at home. For these type of events, mirrorless cameras are much more better for the hustle and bustle of on the move shooting while keeping weight to a minimum.

Another micro 4/3 user in my area! Amazing! I was there too hanging out with some friends. I didn't volunteer this year, and ended up just shooting some of my friends around town. It's a great little festival I go to every year. Especially for the food.

I was looking at other shooters and their setups. Surprisingly I didn't see too many M43 shooters. Mainly Sony and Fuji mirrorless. Has me a little worried that Micro Four Thirds is losing a bit of traction! I'd expect at a parade like this, I'd see more Olympus and Panasonic bodies representing.

I just wanted to throw these two shots in. One was shot in FF and the other with M43 (+ focal reducer), can you tell the difference? Image quality-wise, FF is better regarding subject isolation. In terms of size, pixel-for-pixel sharpness and superior AWB, Olympus M43 is tops! In fact I was able to carry a whole arsenal of lenses that weighed as much as my FF body and single 50mm lens! That's a serious heft consideration to take into account when in the field.
