It took less than 2 hrs flight from Reykjavik(Capital of Iceland). The flight only begain on June each year. The population of Kulusuk is less than 300,
and they all are Eskimos. Frequently the flights are cancelled due to the extreme weather in the Arctic Region. We took the whole trip on foot ,and the excursion was lead by a Guide provide by Air Iceland. There is only one toilet in Kulusuk.. inside the Church. We had to bring the lunch packs and water by ourselves from Iceland for there is no Café, and food shops there.
    The Scenery is extraordinary.

G5 with 14-140 backup by a GH2 with 9-18,and over 95% of the photos were taken by the G5.

Those are terrific. The vibrant colors of the houses with the stark landscape. Share more when you have a chance.

Thanks for sharing. They are excellent. I wonder why they painted the building so colorful. Must be to offset against the 'boring' white snow

    Very nice.

These reminded me of my time in Labrador and then Frobisher, Baffin Island, and a bit of Newfoundland (but NF had trees!).

Stunning. Simply stunning. Your photos make me want to get to know the people that would live so remotely and spend so much effort and money making their homes so beautiful.

    Thanks for sharing.
