    Hi everybody,
I have a pen e-pl2 and both 50mm and 100mm fd canon with micro4/3 adapter.
When I tried to connect the 50mm to my canon 5dm2 (ff then) expected to see the same magnification that the e-pl2 with 100mm gave me.
    but I was wrong.
    Shouldn't they be the same?

They are different sensor sizes. The 5DmkII is a full frame camera meaning its sensor is equivalent to 35mm film. This means a 50mm lens will give you a the same FOV as a 50mm lens on a 35mm film camera. The E-PL2 is m/43 and it has a 2x multiplier relative to 35mm film so a 50mm lens will give you a FOV equivalent to a 100mm lens on a 35mm film camera.

Yes, the magnification is the same, but you get different field of view so your image is half the size. 1:1 magnification, for example, is not related to the sensor size. Still means a 1cm object will cover 1cm of your sensor.

    Hey,
    that's what I am saying:
50mm on e-pl2 (which multuplies 2x) and 100mm on 5dmk2 should give the same FOV. But it's not like that.
