Here are some photos I took for friends on Sunday. I've been away from the site and the cameras for a bit. Would like some input on them any advice would be greatly appreciated. They were recently engaged, but these aren't true engagement photos per-say. Just some casual pics of the couple and family combined.

Thanks all! Managed these shots in just over an hour. Not ideal but I think they came out decent.

I actually like that shot, and if you know my work you'll know that I am a very "straight perspective" kinda guy. I'm a commercial photographer, so that is only natural for me. Too much catalog work in my blood. It's unlikely that I would think to shoot like this, as I like no distortions and natural horizons.

In this photo however, I see the enlarged legs as collateral damage to the perspective and it just looks "natural". Considering the angle of this photo, the skew is actually very minimal and impressively controlled (what focal length did you use, Joe?). The perspective I like because while it hones in on the couple as the focal point, it also encompasses a large on-going background in the form of the sign and buildings. That gives it a sense of presence and location.

Ha! You know I'm not a huge fan either, but they wanted that perspective and really liked the wide angle shots, which I wasn't as big a fan of.

Thank you. You describe the intent I was going for very well. I used the 7-14mm, which read out at 8mm I think.. It was actually raining and I had an umbrella braced on my shoulder to try and avoid rain. I did a straight angle version of this shot but ended up liking this one better.

Thanks Mikey! I hope so, they got them for free! I'm getting a brewery gift card out of the deal and references to other people wanting these kinds of shots. The set came out with a real Portland feel, which people are all about here.
