Following onto the summer of pictures challenge/project, I want to continue to motivate myself to shoot regularly, so I've decided to extend it into fall. I may not post every day this time around, but I want to give myself a challenge to keep me thinking about photo opportunities regularly instead of waiting for special occasions or events. This thread is where I'll be posting up my regular/daily images for the fall of 2012. Anyone is welcome to participate with me and post in this thread as well to share your own images, (constructive) feedback and other thoughts. No rules about posting every day or anything like that, just post if/when you like and have fun. The objective is just to get out there and take pictures! ----- Here's today's entry for me to kick things off. Mostly for learning purposes, I did a small study using a long lens at/near close focusing distance. Took bunch of different shots at different angles & exposures, and experimented with PP techniques as well. I wanted to emphasize the grain and character in the wood. Learning curve is steep so far but I expect that to add a new dimension to my photography, being able to work with off camera flash and supplemental lighting in general.
