Today's image is one I might have passed over in my earlier years. When I used to shoot documentary work, I would prefer not to make eye contact with my subject in the image. I felt, that eye contact was too intimate and distracted the viewer from what was the intention of my story. I now feel much differently and actually prefer looking into the eyes of my subjects. This particular photograph was actually done at the request of the school children (seems everywhere, kids are camera hams) and is now very special to me. I did not pose these kids, they simply were themselves and allowed me to share that with all of you.

Busy summer and not posted for ages. But in August we managed a few days in Edinburgh for the start of the annual festival. We got the first four days when the sun was working!
Number 1 is advertising a Korean drum ensemble and number 2, a pair of young hustlers trying to raise profile for their show - one among hundreds - and I hope they got some reward for their efforts.
Both G1+14-45mm and cropped a wee bit.

I couldn't resist throwing this one in. It's not actually taken with a mu-43 camera, it was with an A2 several years ago.

Yes, I used Photoshop to adjust her eye color. The rest is natural.

It was a close thing. If my wife hadn't been with me, we might have had a new puppy.

Gary, I love every shot you've posted in this thread.

I always loved the Broadway series, that's the name of that series yes?

The big dude in number 3 second post is a great image..
