Anybody have any experience with the Olympus SEMA 1 external microphone?
I got one in a trade, REALLY improves sound quality across the board, even if stereo isn't the intent. As cheap and easy to use as it is, put one in your bag.
Thanks for the feedback. Just began using the epl2's video feature. I think I'll order the microphone.
Is it any better in windy conditions than the in-camera microphone?
I used to have one. It's actually two pieces; an external mic port that fits in the hotshoe and a little stereo mic. You can substitute your own stereo mic if you want, since the connector is a standard audio plug. I was going to get a small flash bracket to mount Rode VideoMic on before I sold it (to get a GH2).
Not relly, depending on wind velocity and direction. I've ordered foam socks for it though...
