External Mic for EP1?

I use the video feature on my EP1 fairly often and one of the microphones has started producing a loud hissing noise. I was wondering if it would be possible to add an external mic using the hotshoe on the EP1 or if I need to use my warranty?

the E-P1 doesn't have an input for an external mic. you'll have to send it in for repair.

I'll just delete the left channel and live with mono audio for a while.

If the camera is less than a year old get it fixed under warranty.
