    Hey everyone,

I've got two canon flashes that i want to use before i get rid of my canon gear and was wondering if they are compatible or can be safely used for a Panasonic G5 or eventually OMD.

Canon 550EX and a 270EX. Will i need to just go with the FL36? (or other option) i'm not really looking for remote triggering, just dedicated mounted with bounce capability.

    Thanks!

The Trigger voltages will be safe, but no TTL, just Manual.

Also, might want to tape off the ttl contacts/pins (i.e., everything but the pin in the center of the shoe/foot), since the placement of the contacts/pins is identical between Canon and mft.

Probably best to ditch the EXs and just go for a mft flash, particularly if you've been relying on eTTL to do the power setting for you. The only reason to keep them would be if you were planning on doing Strobist off-camera lighting with them, and in that case you'd still want to dump the 270EX, since it has no Manual control capability.
