I need some insights as to which EVF to buy. I use to have a GF1/LVF-1 combo and I actually loved it. I manual focused all the time and never really had a problem. Now I'm shooting with the EPL2 and I'm on undecided as to go Oly VF2 or VF3.

What's I'm looking for in an answer is whether the VF3 is night and day better than the Panny LVF1. I know the VF2 is without a doubt, way way better, but I'm leaning on a VF3 for its lock mechanism.

Used a thin string or rubberband, it's pretty easy to 'lock' the VF-2 as well. Especially for MF, I'd go for the largest, sharpest view possible.

I sold the LVF1 twice and decided I'd do without an EVF on my LX5. When I got my EPM1, I agonized over whether to get the VF3 or VF2. I thought I'd try the VF3 first due to its lock and lower price. It is night and day better than the LVF1. That said, I'd likely have sprung for the VF2 if it had a lock. I just don't want to have to tether bits to my camera, especially expensive bits!
