Ever used a tilt adapter?

I came across a little stash of Pentax K mount lenses, including a Cimko 28mm f2.8 that looks like it may be a solid piece of glass. Lacking a K mount adapter, I started browsing eBay for one and came across a tilt adapter.

I'm intrigued by this. I think I would like to try tilt shift photography, but I wonder, are such adapters any good?

The one I'm looking at supports 8 degrees of tilt. Is this enough?

I think I have a similar 8 degree tilt adapter, though mine is for OM lenses.

I have to say that mine from jinfinance on ebay is well built. Far better fit than my other plain OM adapter, so at the very least it's a good plain lens adapter (though admittedly more expensive at 55$ to 12$).

Haven't played around with it to much for the best effects but here are some sample shots:

Thanks for the info phrenic. I must say, those images from the street thread are pretty dope, especially the first 2.

I might just pull the trigger on this tilt mount!
