    A great line I heard from iconic photographer Jon Naar - and will definitely use to break the ice:

    Subject - '...'I take a lousy picture''

    Photographer - ''Well, I'm taking the picture - not you.''

    Yes. My gf. So my snapshots on trips end up being pictures of inanimate objects - no evidence she was ever there!

    I've had people not like a picture I've taken because it is too high quality. They're used to low resolution cellphone selfies taken at arms length from slightly above. When they see a high resolution image in good lighting, they immediately focus on all their flaws and get upset.

    With some people I've taken to blurring the photo before sending it to them. :)
