I mentioned in the thread https://www.mu-43.com/f42/om-d-pl-25-lock-up-25983/about the 25mm locking up an OMD that my brand new 25mm was making my E-P3 reboot.

I have no problems with any other lenses and the firmwares were up to date. I suspect the lens was damaged in transit - well done Amazon for packing a £440 lens in such a way that only 2 of the 6 sides have any protection at all...

But during the troubleshooting I found in the hidden menus that the E-P3 has logged damage code 8228. So far I've not found what this code means, let alone whether it's serious.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

In case it helps anybody else in the future, Olympus got back to me (within a few hours of emailing them!) and said this -

"This is a firmware issue and the next F/W update will solve this, but so far we don't know when it's going to be available."

So it seems, for me, the 25mm causes the camera to sometimes reboot and throws up damage code 8228.
