EPL2 Leatherette Pattern

Could anyone here post a scanned and scaled leatherette pattern for the EPL2?

So that we can use it to create our own skins!

I'd love for someone to do this for the E-PL1, it seems there is a serious lack of aftermarket options for this camera and i would like to "Bling" mine, as it were.

Great idea melvinbrian. I don't have any of those to measure, but I'll see if I can grab a cheap one (though I'm only interested in E-PL1 and E-PL3).

I did my own matte black front wrap for my E-PL1.

Drew it up myself in my vinyl cutting program from my photo's and measurements.

I have a silver PL-2 now and was going to do the same, but since I use a half case I've told myself I don't need to set one up (yet).

Still, a leatherette would be interesting. I like the black body strip with silver top & bottom. Most retro looking!

That is a freaken GOOD IDEA!! Is there a way we can make a thread so that anytime someone buys a skin they scan it and post it online? It's not that hard to trace a good scan in Illustrator or Photoshop.

Yeah! Yeah! Let them scan it it and put some dimensions for scale purposes.. it would be freakin' awesome if we have our personal touch on our cameras!

Okay, with the look and all the hype and talk about the new EM-5, I decided to take to my PL-2 and give it a makeover similar to what I did to my PL-1.

Cut some matte black vinyl and wrapped the front & sides.

Attached is a PDF of the vector elements I used to cut the shapes.
The ends overhang so will need to be trimmed after, but the lens mount shape and the bit around the Micro logo are accurate.

Feel free to print it out and use it as a template, or take it down to a sign shop and have them cut it out of vinyl.

Or pester Melvinbrian to make us all some leatherette ones!

I got a sheet of leatherette material.

I am thinking of cutting a pattern from some other material and reducing it until it's right. Then I'll use the pattern to cut the leatherette sheet.

Any ideas or tips on how to go about that?

Print out the pdf - it's already full size (should be 174mm x 51mm).
Use spray glue on the back or tape it to the material.
Cut through the paper and material.

Should be able to get it close enough!

Thankyou so much, i will get that printed out and let you know how i go. I am going to give magentic backed material a go, so i can chop and change fronts when i want. I am hoping this wont effect any of the workings inside the camera. If it will, i will just head for the sticky backed plastic route.
