EP-5 settings

    Hi all.

    Just got my EP5 and would like to know what settings you use in general and for shooting.
    I'm interested in jpg settings for shooting because I'm a jpeg shooter.

    Would also appreciate any tips, advice ecc.

    Here are my settings, including the way I set up MySet2 for telephoto use.

    Olympus OM-D E-P5

    Shooting Menu 1
    - Reset/Myset:
    -- Press OK then Yes to change the camera to the stored settings.
    -- Press Right arrow then Set to store new settings, or Reset to clear saved settings.
    -- When changing settings, load the old settings, make the changes, make sure the PASM wheel and settings are correct, then save the settings.
    -- Set Myset1 to normal settings
    -- Set Myset2 to Telephoto settings
    - Record mode: Still Picture: change from LN to LSF or LSF+RAW (set Custom G first)
    - Image Aspect: change from 4:3 to 3:2

    Shooting Menu 2

    Playback Menu
    - Image display rotation: change from On to Off

    Custom Menu
    - A AF/MF
    -- AF Mode: Still Picture: change from S-AF to S-AF+MF
    -- MF Assist: Peaking: change from Off to On
    -- Set Home: Change from all areas to one large central point.
    -- Face Priority: change from i to Off
    - B Button/Dial/Lever
    -- Button Function
    --- Fn: change from Live Guide to Preview
    -- Mode Dial Function (save Mysets first)
    --- Myset2 (Telephoto) assigned to Photo Story
    - C Release
    -- Rls Priority S: change from Off to On
    - D Disp/PC
    -- Control Settings: P/A/S/M: Live SCP: turn on
    (To see the SCP press OK and then Info to toggle display.)
    -- Displayed Grid: change from Off to 3*3
    -- Mode Guide: change from On to Off
    -- Sleep: change from 1min to 3min
    -- Auto Power Off: change from 4h to 1h
    - E Exp/ISO
    -- Noise Filter: change from Standard to Low
    -- ISO-Auto Set: leave at 1600 max, 200 default
    -- Anti-Shock: change from Off to 0 sec.
    - G Record modes/Color/WB
    -- Record mode set: 1: Change from LF to L-SF
    - H Record/Erase
    -- Priority Set: change from No to Yes
    -- dpi Settings: change from 350 to 300
    -- Copyright Settings: change to On and enter name in both fields
    - J Utility
    -- Pixel Mapping: Use to remove stuck pixels
    -- Battery Warning Level: change from 0 to +2

    Other normal settings
    - Wheel set to P
    - Focus points set to one large central point (Press Left, then Info then Up/Down.)
    - Show level indicators

    Setup Menu
    - Date and time
    - Monitor: set to Natural
    - Rec View: change from 0.5 to Off
    - Wi-Fi Settings
    -- Wi-Fi Connect Settings: change from Private to Off when not in use

    Using it with the 75-300 lens handheld
    Use Myset2 to store these Telephoto settings, which are assigned to Photo Story Mode.
    - Use S mode, 1/1000
    - Change shutter mode from Single-frame/Shutter-shock 0 to Sequential H.
    - Show all information on display
    Can manually change shutter speed to 1/500 - 1/2000.
    If ISO 1600 is not enough, manually increase it further.

    In A mode...

    Front dial = exposure comp
    Rear dial = aperture

    In S mode...

    Front dial = shutter speed
    Rear dial = exposure comp

    In M mode...

    Front dial = shutter speed
    Rear dial = aperture


    Fn1 = depth-of-field preview
    Movie record = HDR bracketing
    Switch = Focus modes (S-AF + M in position 1, MF in position 2)
