This model is UK, Europe and Australia only.

Built in Honda's UK Swindon plant .. engine is a direct import from Japan and is specific to the type R only. Derived from the famous Intrega type R (now discontinued)

6 speed manual only with 150kW @ 8000rpm some Europe drivers claim 250km in 6th gear.

When passing 5000rpm the engine becomes like an swarm of angry Bees as it
changes Camshaft profile rushing to the redline with incredible smoothness aided by the balance shaft it just leaps away.:2thumbs:

Top Gear lap time by the Stig 1m.31s

The EP-2 was set to jpeg and standard no PP was used .. the EP-2 is really excellent .. 14-42 was used with the Pany 7-14

Wonderful series John, it's a pleasure to take a look at it, thanks for sharing.
But now I'm left wondering how the engine sounds like.
Can you post an EP-video of your R ?

Enjoy your day.
Kind regards, Herman

They need to bring this model over here stateside. Excelent pictures. Honda needs some exciting cars over here.

I think you had the Integra type R in the US ... non discontinued, the Civic type R engine was developed from the Integra engine(s) which is the highest in BHP output without a turbo 100BHP / litre (Apart from Honda's S2000 176kw 2Ltr)

The US gets the CR-Z (hybrid) (98kw only but very stylish coupe body and sporty handling)

Sporty hybrids now the in green thing Ferrari / BMW / Porsche /Audi all have models / concept or production coming.

Honda has beaten all of them but in a modest way but sure to get people away from the mudane Prius

:frown:I'm jealous of your car... and your camera gear ....

You have a good kit there with those two lenses you have VG coverage ....

Of course WA zoom + macro would useful too:wink:

Oh glad you like the car in Aus. its pretty unique ... its mostly Golf GTI or WRX, the Type R is quite different to the others ... would not swap
