    Hello everyone,

I took a walk this morning around town with the E-P2 + 20mm f1.7... very contrasty conditions, so I used the EVF.

Really enjoyable shooting with this setup, carrying it in my left hand with a wrist strap.

Brian..Just wonderful shots..how perfectly clear and sharp they all are! I really like the ferris wheel juxtaposed against the much older building. All good ones...thanks for sharing!

really well taken stuff - perfectly executed with your usual skill and care

Sheffield has changed a lot since I worked there, (1965 to 1971), but those were the really "good old days"........ when you could get a three course "chinky" (sorry PC people), for 4/6. with coffee
I think that I still recognise the Brewery Building, (your carpet warehouse), as we did most of the Brewery Audits in Sheffield when I worked for Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co, (KMPG .... or whatever they now call themselves) ..... It was pre breathalyzer and each morning at 10am prompt a crate of beer was put in the Audit room for us to consume throughout the day

    Brian, good stuff...
You made my day by walking in town....
I was quite envious about all the hills around your home....
Nice to know you are a natural city dweller.....

Lovely selection of shots Brian, its been great weather for shooting today. More great examples of the performance of the 20mm 1.7 in the right hands!

I've been meaning to visit Sheffield for ages now - I love industrial towns and have wanted to see the inspiration for all that Cabaret Voltaire angst! - and these just make me determined to do it this year.
    Thanks for the inspiration.

    Nice shots Brian,

Sheffield has certainly changed over the last few years (is still changing). I am currently uploading photos I have taken over the last few years of the River Don (that flows through the city) onto my Flickr account. An ongoing project and one more based on recording the scene rather than artistic excellence. See what you think......

I have still a way to go yet, but hopefully one last push might see it finished this year.
