Thanks just commented on that review. Typical of Engadget reviews if its not Canon, Nikon or Red and if the specs are not the highest they don't like it too much.

I don't think the reviewer really gets why the OMD is such a killer camera.

Gah- yeah TERRIBLE reviews  trying not to be a fan boy but:

"Make no mistake, the E-M5 is a fantastic camera, but $1,300 is mighty steep for any mirrorless model, especially one with a Micro Four Thirds sensor."

    and

"The E-M5 delivers excellent image quality for a camera of its size, but at $1,300 with a kit lens, you'd be right to expect perfection."

What kit lenses have they had that were perfect?

They're absolutely terrible with camera "reviews". I remember a month or two back they posted a preview/review on the Canon 5D MkIII with terrible sample photos.

They were so lambasted on the comments that they actually removed ALL comments and locked the post from further comments. I stopped taking them seriously after that.

Jacks of all trades are rarely masters in any. Gotta go to photo sites to really find in-depth reviews. This review meets my expectations
