Anybody know what that rubber thing I lost is for and where I could get a replacement? I barely noticed it missing today.

  2. It's a cap for the flash PC sync port. They might be universal fit for those generic ones on eBay/Amazon, otherwise try asking Olympus.

It's not made from rubber, but hard plastic. It has a very fine thread and must have taken quite a while to unthread itself.
I had the MkII for half a year and this is the first time I even notice the port...

Hard to say. Mine does not have the flash symbol embossed on it.
It would probably be a good idea to call and get the part number confirmed.

    Looks about right.

I called the Olympus service number on their website for my replacement and it cost $4 for the part (and an additional $4 for postage)

I seem to somehow always lose the little things that are attached to my em5ii!

A year on and I'm looking for an update to replacing the sync terminal cap on an E-M5 II.
    A picture as a reminder,

I've tried one eBay seller but he says his customers have reported the cap is too small, and he refunded my payment.
The only other eBay seller hasn't answered my email.
Olympus US doesn't ship offshore, apparently.
Olympus Aus doesn't answer emails, apparently.
and Olympus NZ no longer exists for cameras.
    Any ideas anyone ?

Well, Olympus Aus replied. The part listed in GetOlympus USA is not correct for the E-M5 II. The correct part number is WC549400. But Olympus Aus doesn't sell parts direct to the public.
    Keep searching,
