Periodically, (although it is getting more frequent) when I turn on the M10, either the EVF or the LCD will fail to activate - that is the screen is completely black no matter what I do. Sometimes it is the EVF and other times it is the LCD. Switching the camera off then on again seems to reactivate it. I assume the eye detection sensor is going bad. Has anyone seen a similar problem?

You may try to disable the eye-sensor (keep pressed the small EVF switch button for a couple of seconds) to better understand what is going on.
It may be a faulty connection or something else.

Mine seems like a slightly different problem (black screen would generally occur after the camera was turned on) but take a look at my old thread to see if it could be a lens contact issue. In that case, cleaning the lens/body contacts solved the black screen problem. Troubleshooting problem with E-M10 - what's going on?

    Thanks. That's worth a try.
