EM Ergonomics [em5 vs em10]

As a fairly recent fan of M43 I got myself an EM10 2. I love most things about this model apart from the crazy cluster of tall, abrasive, easy to bump control dials.
For quite a number of reasons, I'm planning to replace it with an EM5 2. Not looking at an EM 1 [which I'm pretty sure would handle a lot better]
I'm wondering if I will see much improvement in the handling of the EM5 2?
I see only two dials on the right and they look to be lower.
I'm a bit spoilt....also have a Fuji XT-2 which feels like it has been sculptured to fit in my hand and the dials a positioned away from where my fingers would fall, but close bye.
Another question.....can I expect better build quality with the EM5 2? Again referencing the XT-2.....the Fuji's battery door, for example, springs open and then snaps back closed....little things...but they add up to emphasize the quality of the build.

Why not a used EM1-mk1? They are going pretty cheap today. Just make sure that the rear dial works.

I have an EM10-mk2 and EM1-mk1.

I installed a 3rd party grip to the EM10, to make it easier to handle/hold on to. I expect the EM5-mk2 would need a 3rd party grip also.
The problem is the shutter button on my 3rd party gripped EM10, is not as easy to use as on the integrated grip on the EM1.
IMHO, if you are going to put a grip on the EM5, and keep it on all the time, why not go to the EM1-mk1 with its integrated grip.

About the dials, I dunno, I use both the EM1 and EM10, and I don't have an issue when I use the EM10. Yes the dials stick up, but that has never bothered me. So for me, that is a non-issue.

Thanks. I'm running two systems.....Fuji with some boofy lenses....and M43 which I plan to keep small [body and lenses...I have the Pana 14 and 20mm and the Sigma 60mm]. So, as mentioned, the EM1 series is not on my radar.
Just curious to hear if the EM5 feels better in the hand than the EM10.....of course it's all very subjective

Why not go with an em5 mkiii ? I just added one to my em10ii and the transition was very easy. I have an added grip on the em10ii and with the 5 iii I don't think I will need one for everyday use.

The em5iii has a better sensor, focus and IBIS, is weather sealed and with the added benefit of sharing the same battery as your em10ii it may fit better in your stable.

Money!.
Fuji is still my 'main' system....so I'm trying to keep my M43 gear small n cheap [but good!]

I don't think it's unimportant.....the feel of a camera in the hand is significant. I can't really pick up my EM 10 2 without being slightly annoyed by the abrasiveness of the front dial on my fingers. [forgotten quickly enough when I start shooting] I had a EM10 mk 1 for a little while and don't remember ever noticing this.

Well, I can now answer my own question!
Recently got a second hand E-M5 ii.
I'm extremely happy with it! Some people indicate that E-M10 ii to an E-M5 ii is a sideways move rather than an upgrade. I don't agree at all. Apart from a whole bag-full of actual differences it's the ergonomic differences [my original concern] that impress me the most.
As I hoped, it fits in the hand comfortably in a way the E-M10 ii never did [even with the brilliant Oly grip].
I love the dial and button layout. And it's the small things like the battery door that springs open..and the subdued silver colour rather than the shinny aluminium look of the E-M10.
And the overall look of it.......triple A camera porn!

enjoy the switch. E-M5 II is a great solid little camera.
What people don't often mention is it's shutter, which is soft and quiet.
The shutter of my Pen-F compared to E-M5 II is very loud.
