I wonder how low the EM-5 will be in 1 year, used, but mint. I have a PM2 which I love but an OMD sure would be nice. Hmmmm

Probably only $300-400. Technology advances extra fast in the compact system camera world which results in fast depreciation unfortunately.

Well, whatcha waiting for now? :)

A refurb body only was $649 2 weekes ago and $749 with the 12-50. And I bought a refurb with the 12-50 in February of this year for $1100. Refurb body only was $975 at the time.

So now you've got $650 and $700 for a new body. The same price as a refurb was 2 weeks ago except you get a new piece of hardware.

Does this portend an E-M5 MKII in January? If so, the E-M5s may drop further. Of course, you would miss two good months of photography.

How are Canadian prices lower than US??? There is something very illegal going on here. We'll probably have to send a missile to retaliate.

The E-PL5 is over a year old and still holding at 599 on amazon. Been there for about 6 months.

Actually, the one from Harrys would ship to the US, and was cheaper than $699. I think the final price came to $701 USD shipped. The It was $712 CAN shipped. :)

Does anyone know how the warranty works out if I buy from Canada and then need to make a claim in the US? Does Olympus America fulfill warranties for these Canadian purchases?

I am fairly sure Olympus warranty is international. (Panasonic warranty on the other hand is tied to the country.)

Yup there is no Olympus presence in Canada. Product has to be shipped back to the states for service.

Sent from my SGH-I467M using Mu-43 mobile app

It is quite a good deal. Did you receive the camera yet? Was it a brand new unit, or were there any signs it was refurbished?

Brand new. I believe this company has a good reputation. I don't think they were trying to scam anyone. BTW, I bought through Henry's.
