I purchased one recently for $350 with the 14-42R and 40-150R, I sold both so my camera body cost me only about $180 for a brand new camera.

Paired with the 14mm F2.5, I've never had such an inexpensive combo produce such good results. The IBIS is flaky in my tests with a 45mm F1.8 so I generally leave it off unless I'm shooting in the dark. It's a cinch to turn on/off. I also bought a VF-4 which I love that it can take.

Best of all, I won't lose dynamic range by shooting above 1/500 like I would on a GM-1.

Only really took it out today for shooting.

I love my little E-PM2, cost me £150 with VF3 and a 17mm 2.8, all the bits rock pretty good especially for what it cost I guess I could sell the 17mm and the cam and VF would have cost me £50-60, but it makes a nice combo. But I have seen a few G3's go for £100 ish and have started to see G5's for less than £200 so there are some great bargains in µ43 land.

Where did you get that deal from?! Some unsuspecting Ebay seller?

I have the E-PM1 and still love it. The E-PM2 will be an even bigger bargain when the E-PM3 is released. I recently sold my G3 for £130. Yes there are some great bargains in m43, especially if you don't want to be at the forefront of technology and are perfectly happy buying an older generation body.

Yes indeed it was listed under film cameras under the wrong spelling of Olympus, I was the only bidder :)

I have recommended that double lens deal to about 5 people already...everyone has loved it.

My biggest problem is convincing people that a Prime is on their horizon...

I am trying to avoid falling to temptation on that one, would rather skip a gen and get a G6 or one of the OMD's (5 or 10) if I did not have 2 G3's and an EPM5 I would have fallen. I would buy a G series over a pen unless I could get a VF for it at the same time, VF is now a must for me having to wear reading glasses and if wandering with them on bad migraine time :(.

Is the E-PM2 really that great of a deal? A friend wants to get into photography, but just got married and doesn't want to spend too much without saving up first. Should I recommend this kit, or to save up for the EM10?
