With my previous PENs E-PL1, E-PL2, and E-PM1, when I turned on the focus box and then zoomed in, I got the close up view of my target and then I could half depress the shutter and it would focus and I could see if I hit the target clearly because it would remain enlarged on the screen.

With the E-PM2, when I turn on the focus box and then zoom in, I get the close up view of my target and when I half depress the shutter the screen view goes back to 1X and my focus box is just the tiny target again, i.e. not enlarged on the screen. It makes it tough to tell if I got the focus I am looking for.

Any thoughts on this. I cannot find a modification to make my E-PM2 behave like the previous PENs I had. Perhaps this new behavior is better for some. I just want to know if I can get back to the behavior I am used to.

Is anyone familiar with whether this behavior can be modified?

I hadn't noticed this until you mentioned it. For what it's worth, the E-M5 behaves identically. Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to disable this.
