Out of stock. That's s drag. The silver body is available at that price. Then the bodies get progressively more expensive based on color.
    White then black.
    The red is at $549.

$299 for the E-PM2 body is a great deal. Small and excellent IQ.

Sounds like a "Bait and Switch". Sure they could advertise them for Free, but they don't have any, and want you to buy something else.

Has anyone actually got an E-PM2 for $299?

Looks like it is the purple and brown only. Though if you resell the lens it's a good way to get an extra body.

I've never heard of New Egg being labled as a "bait & switch" company....

    But I could be wrong...

Definitely disagree as well - Newegg is about as reputable as they come. Although they are mainly PC build/parts oriented, they have been around for as long as I can remember and always price competitively.

This is my in value on the pm2, hope it comes back in stock!

My guess is price mistake. $299 for E-PM2 + kit lens sounds just unreasonably cheap...

$299 for silver body - sold out

They charged me for one of the E-PM2+lens kit. Now I finally have a body to use with my 100-300mm!!!

Newegg is reliable, I use them for probably 90% of my computer parts purchases. They're primarily a computer retailer, consumer electronics and photography are things they add in smaller quantity. I've seen them use the same pricing strategy on other things, I'm not sure if they have a human doing the pricing or some algorithm.

I'm sure those E-PM2 prices are a dirct result of how well each body and/or kit is selling at New Egg. Stuff that languishes in the warehouse gets discounted pretty quickly.

Newegg is reliable. They often offer deep discounts on limited quantity items. I've gotten some electronics and a watch this way. If they have one, you win. If they're out, you've lost nothing.

I agree that it sounds like bait and switch, but given the reputation of Newegg I suspect they just sold out quickly. It was an amazing deal, after all.
