    Hi all,

I'm quite new to photography and the E-PM1 is my first upgrade from a Canon ISXUS 60. Here are some of my pics so far, I welcome any feedback which will improve my photos.

Welcome aboard, and I rather think these are good first shots. Are you pleased with them, or do you feel they're missing something?

The last one is quite nice, as it has a frame looking into the very odd geometrics in the room beyond.

Southern Cross Station is also great as it has a strong line come in from the right, yet this wavy pattern from the top left. Nice juxtaposition.

The first two might be a bit pedestrian. The first one perhaps could use a bit exposure boost. The second I just don't think is that interesting, though I have a LOT of pictures that are interesting to me, as they have a historical or local context that I am aware of, but that a random internet viewer would have / wouldn't understand.

Nice work, and please share more!

they are very good shots . I especially like the light house and train station.

You now have best of both worlds with mu 4/3. Welcome to the forum.
  4. I quite like your first image, but would agree that it might benefit from some added exposure to the midtones and highlights, and maybe even a small crop of some of the darker areas on the right hand side of the image. Image #3 works really well.

    Thanks for the feedback.
In regards to the first shot "The Block Arcade", there are a couple of suggestions of increasing the exposure. Would this be normally done through the exposure compensation ?
