Recently bought an E-PL5 and haven't gotten my head around the grid settings. I would like to display a rule of thirds grid, but it seems the camera does not offer this, only some not-very-helpful grids. Any idea/workaround how to get a rule of thirds grid displayed?

I guess I figured it out: there's a Golden Ratio grid (which, being a novice, I thought looked like a weird rule of thirds grid). Thanks anyway.

    Hi Prophet,

And welcome to mu43. I didn't want to ignore your question but I've never used a grid except on the PC to straighten an image.

Grids can useful to keep the level or plumb to avoid wide angle distortions..
In use them for Street, when I want to keep the buildings at the right angles.
