E-PL5 auto white balance orange in tungsten

    so new E-pl5. first olympus for me. uto white balance seems to be useless. bright orange in tungsten light. it honestly looks like i white balanced for daylight

    Most cameras have trouble with AWB in tungsten lighting. My E-M5 isn't very good either, and my D700 was even worse. Those are the situations where you want to set the white-balance specifically, or shoot RAW and adjust after the fact.

    In the "gears" menu, Color/WB, set Keep Warm Color to Off

    It may be that the new cameras' ability to choose the right WB when under new compact fluorescent bulbs ... actually disrupts their ability to get it right when under the now much rarer tungsten filament light ...

    That's what I reckon anyway.
