You can get the essentially similar E-PM1 with the kit lens for $189 at Cameta. They also have factory demo/refurbs of the E-PL3 with kit lens for $219.

The only feature that the E-PL3 has that the E-PM1 doesn't is the flip out screen. The E-PM1 has several minor features and refinements vs. the E-PL3,

That snapsort comparison is not correct. The e-pm1 does not have in camera panorama.

The two cameras have essentially identical iq and features. The e-pl3 additionally gives you the flip screen, three additional buttons and a physical mode dial.

I would go for the e-pl3 at this point, the price difference is not large now.

I agree I'd choose the E-PL3 as well, physical mode dial is key for me and the flippy screen is a bonus.
