Black is my first choice then silver

If you like black, don't sell the blue short. I wanted a black but settled for the blue, and now I wouldn't swap it back for a black one. It is a dark subtle blue. Not objectionable at all.

Boyzo and Canondude, I agree that that blue color looks really nice. As it worked out, the black became available via an Amazon affiliate. The camera itself is much more attractive in real life than it looks in the advertisements. It is small and quite nice. As I said the only negative I've found is that little door that allows you to attach it to your computer and I guess your HD TV.

Yes, to my shame I do not yet own a card reader! Next buy!

Steve,
I am impressed how well the 17/2.8 is performing for you on the E-PL1.
Could it possibly be that it does better here than it does on the EP2?
Or might we be seeing the effect of the lighter AA filter?
Do we really need to go to the Panny 20/1.7 after all?
Would be interesting to see a side by side of the two lenses on the E-PL1...any takers? Brian???
Anyone ideas anyone?
Thanks,
Angus

I do not own the 20mm and I figure I wont until the price drops to a NORMAL level lol.

For me the lens seems to function well and take pretty good pictures. I too would like some side by side comparisons to see the difference of the lenses on the E-PL1. Im sure someone will helps us out with that soon.

Unfortunately we're out of light for today, but I'll do some tests over the weekend.

Cheers

I was out yesterday photographing the crazy back patio of a local Mexican eatery when I saw these young ladies doing the same thing!

Hey E-Pl1Shooter, you're getting the same results from that 45-200OIS I was. That sucker resolves like NO tele I've ever seen. It acts like a $5000 DSLR prime at the long end. Resolves like CRAZY. The micro contrast and detail is admirable for sure. I'm getting another today and hope to have some time to play with it Tuesday to confirm I want to keep the PL1 and lenses. I also have a 20mm f1.7 coming with it to try. From what I've heard that should also impress. Heck even the stock lens ain't half bad from my previous tests, but this time I have to really wring it out to decide if I want to keep this combo. I sided with a D5000 a week ago, and not sorry I did, but the PL1 was a compelling product with those lenses, so I wanted to give it one more try just for those times I"m out and about and want a super light kit. We'll see. But based on your shots its got my juices flowing again.
