BB these are very contrasty with a great tonal range. Is this in camera B&W or conversion in PP?

Bill, thanks - the first one was with the Grainy Art Filter. The second one I converted with Aperture to black and white.

Yes, Keehotee - I like the way you took yours, too - and it's perfect in black and white!

I have a number of black and white conversions. Most of them are on my Flickr pages, not in here. I find that lately for some reason, I'm more drawn to black and white. I would love to add the Silver Efex plug in but it's not currently fully integrated to Aperture 3. I do have a couple of "presets" on Aperture that try to replicate different types of black and white film..I use them but then do a little tweaking. Now that I've told you more than you'd ever wish to know.

Just walking around town with my dog, early Saturday morning. All taken with the 17mm. All converted in Aperture 3 using B&W film presets and very minimal tweaking beyond that.
