This thing is so many lightyears ahead of the E-P1 that I first used so I have no idea what's causing it, but whenever I half press to focus I hear a slight fuzzy speaker static noise from the speakers on the top. Any idea how to make it go away? None of the custom settings seem to apply.

Sounds like (no pun intended) you're hearing the IBIS noise. The IBIS is activated by default whenever you half-press the shutter. You could try disabling the IBIS to see if the sould goes away. My E-M10 makes the same noise, and I'm sure the other Olympus cameras with IBIS do as well.

Yep, IBIS sound I bet. Congrats on a fine camera.

My New E-P5 makes the same noise, was wondering what it was as well.

Yep, it's ibis casting spells on your pics. Or did you think the magic is done without magic Words/noises?

As long as it isn't swearing out of your camera, i wouldn't worry to much. And even if it would - still worth it.)
