Hi all, I have the opportunity of purchasing a mint E-P3 body + VF-2 for the price of 345€. It's a black body and I'm looking for a backup to my OM-D. Is this an interesting price? (just look for a reason not to indulge in GAS ;-))

i would wait. with the ep5 coming out you will definitely see drops in price across the board. any reason why you want to choose olympus? why not a panny gx1?

Given that this is about 1/3 or less of retail, I'd jump on it.

I have omd and just bought ep3 as 2nd body over a month ago, ep3's IQ seem okay, but not up to omd standard, I knew that before I bought.

I think you should wait, as long you can resist the ep5 with 17mm 1.8 combo.:dash2:

I would wait, prices already going down. Right now on Amazon USA the E-P3 with lens can be bought for $380 and the VF-2 is $170. Not Europe but relative.

As a ep3 owner I still advice u to wait. Prices on ep3 will go insain low. And as u already got the om-d, I guess that your not in a hurry...

Indeed, prices will go down even further. A 2 year old digicam, sadly, is worth next to nothing... I just considered it because because the black one is so damn sexy. But, then again, I might as well buy a paperweight. Better to invest in glass... (75 1.8 comes to mind, ah gas...)
