Nicely written, and sums up how I feel about this camera.

Really well written review, enjoyed reading it. Such a shame the E-P3 is so expensive though :(

Aye, it is rather expensive! I work out here in Japan, so I was able to grab it at more reasonable prices. That said, I also got the three new primes... No paycheck at all this month!

    Great work!

I especially appreciate the quick tips on the settings - should be required reading for all new E-P3 owners!

I've had it for a week so far and I'm lovin' it. :dance3:

Thanks! Any other quirks you've found about the camera that are worth noting?

It was a feature on the e-p1 lost on the e-p2: assigning to the "F" button to turning on/off the image stabilization.

Does the e-p3 allow that quick selection ?

Yeah you can program one of the fn buttons for ibs. Although I like it on epl2 as I could use the multiple shots button to scroll thru and choose ibs instead of using another fn.

Interesting! I didn't know the IBIS could be assigned to a function. Very useful if you're into switching between video and photos a lot.

As you can see, in JPEG mode the image quality is starting to catch up to the Canon 7D. With this said, I can estimate that the noise levels may be on par with the old Nikon D300 (please note that this is not the D300s that I’m talking about.)

    I wouldn't say equal to a D300, perhaps a D200 more likely.
