Just as a little get off my backside and do something experiment, I took my faithful E-P1 and the ZD 50mm macro out on to our terrace today to see what I could shoot.

here is the result - short and sweet and without any real point other than to keep me amused and thinking

The PP workflow was a little convoluted - but basically cut in Final Cut, then converted to ProRes so that I could use Color.

Title using Motion and the soundtrack coblled together from a couple of loops from Soundtrack Pro

    enjoy

Was this handheld? If so, I think that's remarkable! Regardless, that was beautiful. Well done!

    Thanks

Not hand held.... Vanguard Alta Pro tripod and Manfrotto HDV501 fluid head.

lens set to manual focus - though it was tricky seeing the focus in the bright light.

    thanks amin...appreciated.

I hadn't really ever sat down and tried to see how 'good' you could make video footage look with an E-P1. The only real downside is the lack of control you have on the shutter speed which leads to a slightly jerky motion.

Making a video is way way more involved than taking a photo...photography is very much a solo activity... making videos solo is much much harder

I am constantly amazed that the movies we see ever get made :)
