If the new E-M5 has clean-HDMI out as rumoured, this may be a nice little hand held video setup.

Is HDMI out all a camera would need to take advantage of the Ninja 2?

Would be wonderful to finally use Oly's amazing IBIS in video.

This is what I've been waiting for a long time. Even if we don't get 4k, if it has some serious video options or at least a halfway descent codec I'll be first in line and my ep5 will be handed down or sold of. The sensor shift feature seems less interesting to me unless it will work well with moving subjects which seems unlikely.

This is why I mentioned the Ninja Star. I have zero faith Oly have even the slightest minuscule of an idea when it comes to video so I'm pretty certain anything they throw at this as far as video goes will be a complete fail. But, if it does do clean-HDMI out this would mean not relying on Oly for much. The Ninja Star will record straight off the sensor in ProRes HQ at 220 Mbps and bypass all the Oly nonsense. What ever codec Oly use will undoubtedly be crappy.

The Ninja Star is small enough that you could still use the E-M5 hand held.
