E-M5.2 focussing issue

Discussion in 'Olympus Cameras' started by WaltP, Jun 12, 2019 at 10:01 AM.

  1. What am I doing wrong? In low light (EV:6) my camera has a really hard time picking up my face when in: 'All points' enabled, S-AF/MF, and Face Detect on.

I hold it at arm's distance, at 12mm, and it misses me almost every time I am off-center.

Any ideas? Is EV=6 too low for it to autofocus easily. Manual says otherwise.

And my GX85 does it in these conditions.

Hi, you could try enabling the AF Assist light, if you haven't already.
