Last night, just after sunset and beginning to get dark I was trying to take pics with my E-M1ii. I could still see well enough with my eyes at the subject but when looking through the evf it was near black and impossible to af or mf. Is there a setting in the camera to enhance/brighten while viewing through the evf ? Or is this just limited to viewing via the rear lcd screen ? The images I did get came out exposed fine.

In my menu setting, GEARS/ I / EVF Adjust / auto luminance = ON, that didn't seem to do anything to help. Was it just too dark and the camera maxed out its ability, or am I missing something else. Thanks for any help.

You want to turn on Live View Boost. Here is way more information that you probably need on it...
Thanks for that link. Watched the entire video and made the recommended changes on Live Boost. Tried it out in a darkened room and I was now able to see the subject. The AF was a bit iffy and the slow frame rate and longer exposure time using the On2 selection is sure different, but it works. Hopefully, I can give it another try tonight.

Appreciate your help.
