Hi everyone, I'm new here this my first post. I ordered the E-M10, 12-50 zoom, 40-150 zoom, ECG-1 grip plus accessories. They will be delivered today, I would like any input that might get me learning to set up and use the camera. I have downloaded and read the manual. Need info on things to try and things not to do. I will be shooting mostly outdoor things not so much people. Will shoot jpeg for a few days to get used to it then RAW all the time. Would like to set up a custom button for focus lock for sure.

    Thanks Roger

This article makes as much sense of Olympus' complicated menu system I have seen. It's written for the OM-D EM-1, but 9o% is applicable to the E-M10: http://www.biofos.com/mft/omd_em1_settings.html
Ignore the few settings that only apply to the E-M1. Also look at DPR review of E-M5. E-M10 has some settings not on E-M5. Google "settings for OM-D, Om-D E-M10", 5, and 1. Update to latest firmware if necessary. For the E-M10 it's 1.2. For 12-50 also 1.2. Don't know about the 40-150. Set E-M10 anti-shock to "0 sec.". Set up "Mysets" 1-4 for different shooting environments you would expect to encounter.
