E-M10 - Maximizing battery life for time lapse

I'm new to the forums here as well as to Olympus in general. I've done a bit of searching on this, and haven't found ways to do some simple things that should help with battery life.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to toggle the rear LCD off so that it doesn't drain the battery during time lapses? Even in Live Composite, it might be nice to switch the LCD off while waiting.

Any other tips that may not be obvious for maximizing battery life?

I read that there was a "work around" for turning off the rear screen for the E-M5, so I gather that Olympus doesn't want to make this easy. I couldn't get the work around, however, to turn off the LCD on my E-M10. I did figure out how to turn off the rear screen by switching off the eye sensor, but that seems to run the EVF full time. Also, hitting Info button enough times will black the screen out, but it is obviously still on.

Thanks for any help with this.
