E-M10 14-42 EZ kit or E-M10 body + anything else?

What to get? E-M10 with new pancake kit lens 14-42, or save money and to buy body only and something like... hmmm... Sigma 19mm 2.8?

In future I want to have 25 1.8 Oly m.Zuiko, but now I need to have a walk around lens first.

Hi. I went through a similar issue and in the end bought the E-M10 with the older 14-42 manual kit lens. I figured the new EZ lens was not enough of a draw and I don't like electronic zooms. This was a fair bit cheaper and left me money to put towards a prime. You could always sell the EZ lens for quite good money and use the proceeds towards other lenses.

Manju69 - there seems to be quite a few variations of the 14-42 and Olympus and Panasonic do them - which was is best ?

We have both EZ and the older 14-42 and use the EZ for travel, my wife is currently in London and has the EZ with her. I think that you will really enjoy the 25, the E-M10 really shines with either the 17 or 25.

Hi. As far as I know the original panasonic 14-45 is the most well respected kit zoom, aside from that the panasonic 14-42 version 2 is also good. I had the 14-45 once and I did not notice a huge difference IQ wise but it was built well. As the previous post says, the e-m10 really shines with a decent prime like the oly25. I just purchased the 12-40 pro which is amazing (but not small!)
