Hi, tried to connect my E-M1 to an iPad mini about can't seem to get it to work. Looked up on YouTube, it seems when connect to a smartphone, one may tap the "connect" icon to link the wifi with the camera, but on iPad there is no such option but to install profile. Once installed, two devices still wouldn't communicate. Wondering if anyone have attempted connecting with an iPad and share your thoughts. Thank you.

...not sure what I did wrong or didn't do. It seem wifi signal of the camera doesn't always stay on?

Got it, I kept switching off the screen with wifi connection and QR code in hoping to get live view on the camera's LCD - guess just doesn't work that way!!!

It can work that way... with third party applications, the olympus software isn't very good. I don't actually know if there is a solution for an ipad, I only really use the windows version for tethered shooting.
