Not sure if maybe I am different than the norm, but do people usually need to change both ISO and WB at the same time? Seems to me they are not "linked" settings where if you are touching one then you are likely touching the other. So not having both available with a single button press seems kind of an odd complaint.

It is not odd when you already have that implemented. And it is implemented when it comes to using the lever on the E-M1. And it is implemented on the E-M5ii.
That implementation saves you from having to assign two buttons for two settings that can (and do) live on the same screen. I have an E-M1 and and E-M5ii, and because of this stupid difference between the two cameras I have to have different button assignments, which is a pain when you use the two cameras during the same event.
