Others here (Barrie!) do a much better job of this, but these are some of the best shots I've gotten of dragonflies and damselflies.

All with a G1 and 45/2.8 Macro Elmarit.

Thanks for the mention Ron (really good to know that people look at the posts even if they generate few comments). The 45mm is a little limiting in terms of getting really close to flighty insects such as these. If i were restricted to using that lens, and it's an excellent lens, I would be tempted to shoot from a little further away whereby the whole insect would be in focus and, although occupying a smaller area of the picture, it would actually put it in context with regard to its habitat and the like. Non the less it's great to see dragons and damsels from elsewhere in the world, even if I can't put a name to them.

Hi Ron great set of dragon/damselfly. Hope you do not mind me joining in the fun on your thread. This was taken with the GH1/PL 14-150mm combo.

Thank you Ron for your kind feedback. Good to get to know you.
I am sorry that I do not know how to do that yet. Now that you asked I think that is a neat idea - let me go find out if that can be done.

In the mean while here is my link to more dragonfly if you are interested. More than 90% I will not be able to post here becos they were taken with my 4/3 system.
